A Passionate Mt. Fuji Adventure Specialist

Hello, and welcome to an unforgettable journey to Japan’s iconic Mt. Fuji! My name is Amrit Chapagai, and I was born and raised in the mountains of Nepal, a country deeply rooted in a love for towering peaks and hiking trails. After moving to Japan for my studies and graduating from a top university in Tokyo, I made this beautiful country my home and have spent over eight years immersed in Japanese culture and hospitality, including four years managing a four-star hotel in Tokyo.

For nearly a decade, I’ve had the privilege of guiding hikes on Mt. Fuji, sharing my passion for the outdoors with travelers from around the world. I speak Japanese, English, Hindi, and Nepali, so I’m here to connect with guests from all walks of life, making sure everyone feels comfortable, informed, and excited for this adventure.

With certifications in CPR, Self-Defense Firefighting Technology, and Fire and Disaster Prevention Management from Tokyo’s Fire Department, your safety is my utmost priority. As we climb Japan’s highest peak together, my goal is to offer not only a safe journey but also a truly memorable experience that captures the awe-inspiring beauty and spirit of Mt. Fuji.

I’m looking forward to guiding you on this remarkable adventure. Let’s make your climb an unforgettable experience!

We are a group of four whom engaged Amrit’s guide service for our 3D2N private hike to Fujisan.

It was the week of open season and everyone was excited.

Our expedition was filled with lots of unexpected weather conditions. It was Amrit’s experience and good calls to some changes during our hike.

We faced hikers without guides, underestimated the weather and overconfidence of their limitation, got into bad situations and near death scenarios.

He is a good experienced local guide that constantly reminded on time keeping and safety precautions,  tailored to our fitness level during the hike. So that we do not over run and got ourselves into burnt out zone.

It was a wonderful hike on Fujisan and we…

Did a Mt Fuji climb in 2024 when the season just opened. He is an excellent guide who knows the terrain and weather very well. His in-depth knowledge greatly helped my group when the weather worsened. Even though we had to change our itinerary for our 3D2N climb, it was all for the better and for our own safety. The weather was so bad that there were casualties at that time who tried to summit then. Amrit is a great guy who bonds easily too. Will engage him when I intend to summit mountains in Japan again. Highly recommended for sure! 👍
